Getting Here
Where is Stehekin, WA?
Stehekin is a small community of 60-70 year round residents. Getting here is a bit different than you may be used to. Lake Chelan is a 55 mile long lake, but because of the rugged nature of the mountains, there is only road to the first 20 miles at the lower end of the lake. To access Stehekin you have the choice of boat, ferry, float plane. Stehekin can also be reached by hiking many of the trails through the North Cascades National Park Service Complex and Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest including the Pacific Crest Trail.
As you can see from the satellite image, there are not many lights in the valley. We don’t have many street lights, but we do have millions of night lights in the sky.
